Once, when I was ten or eleven years old I thought I could put an end to being spanked. My mom was probably five feet tall, but she had twelve kids and plenty of spanking experience. Nevertheless, I jerked the stick out of her hand and broke it over my knee. I thought she would be powerless to do anything about it. WRONGGG! And I thought she was angry before! She had a closet full of hangers. She just got another, and gave me the walloping I deserved.
How do you react to life’s spankings? Do you try to control the one who’s doing the “spanking”? Have you ever tried just being quiet and listening to what’s being said first? How about agreeing with the person on the parts they get right? Then, maybe responding with calm respect and apologizing where needed. It just might work out better than the childish behavior I exhibited above. Give it a shot. Comment here.
