The Power of Words



In the midst of a conflict, we need to be very careful of what we say. Because our words can either be inflammatory or conciliatory, wounding or healing. Impulsive words said without thinking can injure beyond our intention and damage beyond our control. And once they’re spoken, they can never be taken back. Once they leave our mouths, words can never be retrieved. Next time you’re in a conflict, do whatever you have to in order to keep from saying something you’ll be sorry for later. Try these suggestions: Count to ten before you speak, say the second thing that comes to your mind and if you can’t say anything nice…Comment here.
